The travellers, writers and photographers behind the stories

Albert González Farran

Albert Gonzalez Farran (Barcelona, 1975) is an independent photojournalist and multimedia producer with 16 years experience and extensive specialization in projects about migrations. He is currently working on a multimedia documentary about refugees and asylum seekers in Barcelona with the Catalan Commission for Refugee Aid (CCAR). Albert's last assignment was the publication of a documentary website for the International Organization for Migrations (IOM) in Egypt. He was also the photographer in UNAMID, the United Nations and African Union peacekeeping mission in Darfur, Sudan, for nearly five years (2009-2014). Previously, he worked for media outlets in Spain, Peru, Ireland and Northern Ireland and conducted personal photo projects in Bosnia and Ethiopia.

Christian Schaffer

Christian Ann Schaffer is one of those restless transplants. Having grown up in Wisconsin, she decided to leave the Midwest and everything she knew for a new life in Hawaii – selling all but four boxes of belongings. She has since packed up her life and moved on to travel across 5 continents, officially changing her mailing address 30 times. Photography and her freelance business have taken her to places she may otherwise never have ventured.

Christoph Dabiri

Main motive for traveling: Comparing the picture that has been painted of a place with its reality. Personal characteristics: Coming with all the qualities that the Leo zodiac sign brings. Freedom enthusiast.

David Love

David Love is a Commissioned Officer in the British Army and a passionate traveller, explorer and adventure photographer. He is also a highly experienced Mountain Leader and Outdoor Instructor as well as an Expedition Coordinator for both the Military and Duke of Edinburgh's Award. His Army career has taken him from the streets of Kabul in Afghanistan to the highly volatile countries of Mali, Libya, Somalia, North and South Sudan, as well as other vast swaths of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Felix Kosel

Whether Felix and Markus Kosel are two typical mavericks or not, even they don't know. Probably more like dream fulfillers, because they really didn't want to escape anywhere. After running a successful cafe in Berlin, they decided to blaze new trails and realize other dreams. To take wing and live without a plan. To stay wherever they felt at ease, to journey on to precisely where they want. To walk, hike, drive, or whatever they choose, with the necessities in a backpack.

Lukas Sommer

I'm Lukas, a photographer, travel writer and web developer, traveling the world bartering my skills for experiences. I started to travel in 2013 and my journey has led me from Europe to Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Portugal, Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. I barter with sustainable businesses, eco-tourism, charity and community projects that very often need a specialist and don't have the funding to pay for an agency or professional.

Marcin Konkel

Marcin is a typical dream fulfiller. After a long time of imagining being here and there, he decided it is high time to stop thinking and just do. From that time he started naming some of his dreams 'projects.'

Michal Huniewicz

Michał Huniewicz is a Polish photographer, writer and software developer based in London. His shots have been widely featured, including in Daily Mail, The Telegraph and La Repubblica, and exhibited in Hong Kong or Brussels, as well as in Wyborcza.pl (the largest Polish liberal daily). Discovery Digital Networks recently dedicated a show to his trip to Mauritania.
